Overview

  • New User Interface (UI). The new UI is a key feature of Saasyan Assure v5. The interface is based on extensive customer feedback and provides a cleaner, simpler and modern look and feel. The v4 UI will remain the default user interface until the next Assure release. To access v5 please click on the v5 icon on the top right of the v4 screen.
  • Accessibility enhancements. These allow users to use a keyboard to navigate the UI instead of having to rely on a mouse or touchpad.
  • Increased search capability. V5 has additional search capabilities in Alerts (both tabs), the new Action Log and most investigative reports.
  • Responsiveness enhancements, especially for tablets.
  • Pagination for multi-page lists/tables. The new pagination function forces a scroll to top when a page number is selected. This mirrors what a user would normally expect when scrolling through multi-page/screen lists or tables of data.

Dashboard

  • Widgets can now be resized to half page width as well as one third width in addition to moving location.
  • A Temporary Rule button is now available on the dashboard for users with appropriate approval.
  • For sites with sufficient capabilities, a Check Access button show for users with appropriate approval. This enables a user to check access for a particular user or group. The scope includes Applications, we categories and Specific URLs.
  • Accessing the Assure Guide is now from the bottom left of each screen as opposed to the top right.
  • The Logout button is now on the bottom left of each screen along with the logged in User’s name.

Reports

  • A new summary bar has been added to the User Report screen. The summary bar elements are also clickable to reveal further information on each element.
  • Additional help by hovering on graphs has been added to charts and graphs in user reports.
  • The User Report PDF export now includes the contents of all tabs.
  • The PDF reports have had minor changes to the document layout.
  • Investigative reports – Save, schedule & email: This provides users with the ability to save report attributes as report templates and use those templates to either easily generate a report on demand or schedule a report to be generated automatically and delivered via email.
  • The User Rating Report page is now available in the Customer Report area.

Alerts

  • Assure can now extract the titles from viewed Vimeo videos in addition to YouTube videos.
  • Bing and yahoo search text is now extracted for review by alerts regardless of whether the web category of Search-Engines is selected.
  • The new alerts history tab includes a graph that supports the ability drill-down by date or user.

Rules

  • Overrides are called Rules.
  • The ‘Analyse Page’ subroutine now extracts URL that are within a query string of the referenced URL.

Admin

  • Extended Audit Log: The newly created Action Log, logs all user actions that either result in:
  • data output (example: running a report)
  • a configuration change (example: changing the value of a parameter or deleting an alert)
  • a user logging in or out of Assure
  • The Web Overrides Audit Trail page is now in the form of a second tab (Rules History) on the Action Log page.
  • The Applications page is now the Application Groups page. When creating Rules, admins will see both Application Groups (if any and if available to rules) and all Applications while non-admin users will only see the Application Groups (if any and if available to rules).
  • The Users page now has two tabs: unique Users (default view) and User Mappings.
  • The Bad Words and Phrases page has been renamed to Words & Phrases and now includes the whitelisted phrases and classifications as tabs on that page.
  • The Access Control page is now called the Permissions page.
  • The Parameters page is now called the Settings page.
  • The Groups page is called the User Groups page.
