Integrations

  • Single Sign-On (SSO) integration with Ping Identity
  • Schoolbox LMS integration is now available for teachers to create rules for their classes, access ‘classroom view’ and ‘offline users’

Dashboard

  • Live View button which shows a new dashboard widget with two tabs:
    • The ‘live view’ tab allows the supervisor to see real-time web activity for the selected group for the previous 15 minutes. Only web categories that have ratings below average are shown. Each user’s name is hyperlinked to access their ‘user report’ for further investigation
    • The ‘offline users’ tab displays any user within the selected group who has had no data reported to Assure for the previous 15 minutes. Each user’s name is hyperlinked to access their ‘user report’ for further investigation

Reports

  • The ‘user report’ has an additional tab called ‘category’ which displays the bandwidth usage per web category
  • The ‘app report’ now has an additional tab to show the bandwidth usage per web category. When clicked, each web category will generate a detailed report showing all the users. Clicking on the user’s name will generate a ‘user report’ for the same timeframe
  • The ‘detailed app report’ by application is updated to have the names hyperlinked to enable the generation of a ‘user report’ when a user’s name is clicked
  • Support for multiple email addresses in the custom reports and the saved report templates when scheduling
  • The LMS-integrated versions as well as the new ‘live view’ dashboard widget now have an additional tab, ‘offline users’ that displays the users who have no data reported for them
  • All generated reports have a button to go back to the revamped ‘reports’ page which only shows the saved reports (if any)

Rules

  • The LMS-integrated editions now support both allow and block actions
  • The LMS-integrated editions now support the selection of students
  • The ‘start time’ column is changed to ‘time range’ and the ‘end time’ is also displayed under the ‘start time’ for the temporary rules

Alerts

  • The ‘alerts history’ is now further filtered to only show the alerts appearing in the wellbeing alert email for the user being investigated (clicking on the ‘investigate’ button of the email or the browser version of it)
  • When accessing the ‘alerts history’ directly from the wellbeing alert email (or the browser version of it), the ‘top 10 users with alerts’ chart is not shown
  • The following changes have been made to ‘alerts history’ pertaining to column labels to enhance clarity and consistency:
    • ‘email’ column has been changed to “alert recipient’
    • ‘type’ column has been changed to ‘activity’
    • new activity column now includes ‘web access’ and ‘web block’ rather than ‘allow’ and ‘block’. This change has also been reflected in different reporting options within Assure

Admin

  • Added ‘apply recommendations’ button on the ‘web categories’ page. When used, it will apply recommended ratings for the firewall’s default web categories. It will also exclude certain web categories from being reportable to Assure
  • The ‘permissions’ and ‘users’ pages now have export functionality

Bug Fixes

  • Resolved issue causing some ‘custom reports’ not generate the ‘dictionary alerts’ and ‘category alerts’ subreports

Misc

  • Accessibility enhancements
  • Navigation and speed improvements
