Assure Web Filter
- Assure On-Device Web Filter v3 for Mac OS now supports transparent web filtering
- The school network detection capability in Assure On-Device Web Filter was further enhanced
- Check Access now supports Assure On-Device Web Filter
- The device status page for Assure On-Device Web Filter was further enhanced
- Admins can now log users off the Assure On-Device Web Filter, thus forcing them to re-authenticate
- The web filter bypass detection was further enhanced on Assure On-Device Web Filter
- Added multi-campus, multi virtual appliance support for the Assure On-Premises Web Filter. This allows a school to deploy a number of Assure On-Premises Web Filter virtual appliances across their campuses whilst benefiting from a unified ruleset and single pane of glass management/reporting
- The ruleset is now split into three sections: Enforced, Override and Non-Enforced. Admins can make sure rules are overridden by neither the Override rules nor the rules parents create through the Assure Parent Portal by placing them in the Enforced tier. Both Override rules and rules created through the Parent Portal override the rules in the Non-Enforced tier. Rules created through the Parent Portal override both the Override rules and the Non-Enforced rules
Reports
- Added ability to search by full URL in Advanced Report
- Added New custom report sub-reports (top allowed categories by user and top blocked categories by user) – useful for identifying users who are wasting time on the Internet
- The location and decrypted attributes are now part of web and traffic reports for both Assure On-Device Web Filter and Assure On-Premises Web Filter
Rules
- Added ability to get the embedded links for URLs via Assure agent
- Check Access now supports checks by specific day and time with both Assure On-Device Web Filter and Assure On-Premises Web Filter
- Enhanced the rules reordering functionality
- Enhanced the rule status to show error when rule disabling is not successful
Alerts
- The drugs_and_alcohol, racism, lgbtq_slurs, mental_health, eating_disorders and sexual_health classifications are now NLP AI backed
- Enhanced the Google email inspection and the context generation when image inspection is also enabled
- Added ability to omit email messages from processing if a special header is set to true for both M365 and Google email
- The timestamp within the Alerts History for alerts based on inspections is now indicative of when Assure detected the alert and not the timestamp of the message (email/chat) or the document or the image triggering the alert
- Location is now part of alerts history
Admin
- Introduced a setting to control the removal of groups that don’t exist within the Identity Provider (IdP) when Assure synchronises with the IdP
Integrations
- Added support for Jamf Safe Internet
- The Google Classroom integration was further enhanced
- Okta SAML now supports both UPN and sAMAccountName based login within a single app
Misc
- Data processing can be disabled by day of week, time of day and data type
- On-campus and off-campus data can now be made available to parents, school staff or both – paving the way for the Assure Parent Portal
